Affordable Dentures MiamiDentures are required when all or a good number of teeth are missing. They are a removable appliance that will greatly improve the smile with natural-looking teeth.

Dentures come in two types. Complete dentures are used when all of the teeth in the mouth are missing. Partial dentures are used when there are multiple teeth missing but there are still a number of existing teeth left. With partial dentures, gaps in the mouth are filled in and the existing teeth will not be able to shift in the mouth.

Complete dentures also come in two types, conventional and immediate. Conventional dentures will be made when all teeth have been removed and all healing of the gums has taken place. This process usually takes from four to six weeks, and during this period of time, the patient will be without teeth. Immediate dentures are made in advance and immediately placed in the mouth after all teeth have been removed so that the patient will not be without teeth. After the gums have healed, the dentures will need to be adjusted.

Dentures are very durable appliances that will last a number of years, but over time they may need adjustments, repairs and even replacement.
